![]() That being said I don’t think most players playing have played against Swiftmasters playing him at that highest level that makes him absurd. No doubt Swiftmaster has the best tools in the game, and I think while he could use some adjustments. TL DR: Swiftmaster doesn't have many weaknesses that the opponent can factor into their game-plan, thus making it un-engaging to spectate/play. Striker is stubby and her dp can be easily spaced around making her defensive kinda meh, and Dragon Knight is also a little stubby and Mana intensive. I don't feel the other really good characters have this problem, Hitman doesn't have a projectile or much counter-zoning, and his mid-screen combos aren't that great. To me this makes the character boring to spectate and play against sometimes, but I don't think I'm alone in that opinion. His offense is too good to take extra risks knowing he can't punish very hard in many situations like Launcher, Crusader, or Ranger he has some of the best counter-zoning along with his zoning you can't wait his pressure out like since he can reset it quite easily, and he doesn't suffer particularly hard anywhere on the screen. ![]() ![]() This might be his biggest strength.Īll this to say that there's not much for an opponent to exploit or play into besides the stuff that works on everyone else. Mixup: Not super crazy to my knowledge, but he does have a lot of options on offense with quite a few being pretty safe.Ĭombos: he seems like a character who can start combos with good damage, okie and corner carry from anywhere on the screen. Rushdown: He's one of the fastest characters in the game, with really good tools for creating openings like 5B, Wind Twists, Wind Orb and it's follow ups again, and his awakening making him even faster.ĭefense: Pretty much everyone gets smothered in this game but having a small hitbox, vortex dp, and 6F normal are pretty good on average. ![]() 6S, Storm Strike (which is +3 for some reason), and Wind Orb and it's follow-up, all allow him to control space very well. Zoning: maybe not the best in the game but he can absolutely keep some characters out harder than you'd expect. So I don't mind characters because good as long as they have actionable weaknesses, (weaknesses that a player can factor into their counterplay in a meaningful way.) and I feel Swiftmaster doesn't have many.
